이번 글에서는 macOS 하이 시에라로 맥을 클린설치 하는 방법에 대해 알아보겠습니다.
얼마 전, 애플은 맥을 위한 새로운 운영체제인 macOS 하이 시에라를 출시했습니다. 새로운 운영체제가 나올 때마다 나타나는 논쟁거리가 있는데요. 그것은 바로 클린설치를 해야 하느냐의 여부입니다. 사용자마다 의견이 다르겠지만. 개인적으로 하고 싶은 사용자는 하고, 안 하고 싶은 사용자는 안 하면 된다고 생각합니다.
맥 클린설치 진행하기
1. macOS 하이 시에라를 맥 앱스토어로부터 다운로드합니다.
2. 다운로드가 완료되면, 인스톨러는 닫아줍니다.
3. 파인더 -> 응용 프로그램 에서 다운로드 한 macOS 하이 시에라 파일을 우 클릭해서 '패키지 내용 보기'를 선택해줍니다.
4. Content -> Resources 로 들어갑니다.
5. 응용 프로그램 -> 유틸리티 -> 터미널 을 통해 터미널 앱을 실행시켜줍니다.
6. 터미널에 sudo와 스페이스 한 칸을 입력해줍니다.
7. 4번을 통해 열려있는 createinstallmedia를 터미널 창에 드래그해줍니다.
8. --volume과 스페이스 한 칸을 입력해줍니다.
9. 맥 부팅 usb를 위한 USB 드라이브를 맥에 연결해줍니다. 맥 클린설치를 위해 필수적인 부분입니다.
10. USB 아이콘을 터미널 창에 드래그해줍니다.
11. --applicationpath와 스페이스 한 칸을 입력해줍니다.
12. 파인더 -> 응용 프로그램에 있는 macOS 하이 시에라 설치 파일을 터미널 창에 드래그해줍니다.
13. 터미널 명령어 입력이 완료되었습니다. 엔터키를 눌러줍니다.
14. 프롬트가 물어보면 'Y'를 입력하고 엔터키를 눌러줍니다.
15. 맥os usb가 설치되고, 20~30분 후에 부팅용 USB 제작이 완료됩니다. 꽤 오래 걸리니 인내심이 필요합니다.
16. 재부팅을 하고, 부팅 시 option 키를 눌러 생성된 부팅 디스크를 선택해줍니다.
하이 시에라 클린설치하는 방법을 소개해봤는데요. 맥 클린설치는 윈도우 클린설치보다 유독 의견이 갈리는 부분입니다. 애플이 콤보 업데이트도 자체적으로 지원하고, 운영체제의 특성상 클린설치가 크게 필요 없을 수도 있기 때문입니다.

Not long ago, Apple released macOS Hi Sierra, a new operating system for Macs. There is a controversy every time a new operating system comes out. That is whether or not you need a clean installation. Each user will have different opinions. I think that users who want to do it personally, and users who do not want do not do it.
Proceed with Mac Clean installation
1. Download macOS Hi Sierra from the Mac App Store
2. Once the download is complete, the installer will close.
3. Right-click on the MacOS High Sierra file downloaded from the Finder -> Application and select 'View Package Contents'.
4. Go to Content -> Resources.
5. Launch the Terminal app via Applications-> Utilities-> Terminal.
6. Type sudo and a space in the terminal.
7. Drag 4 open createinstallmedia to the terminal window.
8. --volume and space Enter a space.
9. Mac Booting Connect the USB drive to the Mac for usb. This is an essential part of the Mac Clean installation.
10. Drag the USB icon to the terminal window.
11. Type --applicationpath and a space.
12. Drag the macOS Hi Sierra installation file from the Finder -> Applications to the terminal window.
13. Terminal command input completed. Press the Enter key.
14. When prompted, type 'Y' and press Enter.
15. Mac os usb is installed, and after 20 ~ 30 minutes booting USB creation is completed. It takes quite a long time and I need patience.
16. Reboot and press the option key at boot to select the boot disk created.
I've introduced how to clean install High Sierra. Mac Clean installs are a bit trickier(in other way) than Windows clean installs. Apple also supports the combo update itself, and because of the nature of the operating system, a clean installation may not be required.
